In The Community
NewsChannel 5 is very committed to the St. Louis community. We believe and understand the importance of being closely connected with you, the viewers. NewsChannel 5 has a long and recognized history with several non-profit organizations. The station supports a variety of organizations and outreach efforts, such as The United Way, Salvation Army's Tree of Lights, Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
In 1993, Volunteer 5 was created to assist in flood relief efforts. From there, it has grown to provide more than $5 million annually in volunteer services and hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours to St. Louis's non-profit organizations.
NewsChannel 5 will continue its strong connection with community for years to come. We believe in the passion to lead, the power to inspire and the privilege to serve.
